Privacy notice

Robinson Consulting uses this website to provide information and receive inquiries. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers. The site and its service providers process limited technical and contact information as described below.

Last updated: August 26, 2026.

Who is responsible

Robinson Consulting, based in Oak Park, Illinois, is responsible for the personal information described below. Questions, requests, and complaints go to chris@crobinson-consulting.com.

When you visit the site

Our hosting and security providers may process limited technical request data, such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested page, and date and time. This information is used to deliver the site, maintain reliability, and prevent abuse. Robinson Consulting does not use it to build an advertising profile or track visitors across unrelated websites.

When you submit a form

We process the information you enter so we can respond, determine whether the inquiry is a fit, and maintain an appropriate business or conflicts record. The form also records the submission time and basic source information: source_site, landing_page, referrer, utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content. That source information tells us which pages and campaigns produce inquiries. It is not combined with data from anywhere else and is not used to build a profile of you.

Please do not use a web form to send passwords, payment details, medical records, privileged material, confidential case documents, or other sensitive records. Expert-witness inquiries must begin with the limited conflict-check form.

Cookies

Robinson Consulting does not currently use non-essential cookies, advertising trackers, or an analytics package on this site. There is nothing to opt into, which is why you have not been asked to.

If an analytics tool is added later, it will not load until you have given permission, and this section will name the tool and describe what it collects before it goes live.

Who processes your information

  • Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) delivers form submissions by email.
  • Vercel Inc. (United States) hosts the site and processes standard server request logs as part of serving pages.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) provides DNS for the domain.

Your information is not sold, rented, or shared for anyone else’s marketing. It is not added to a mailing list, and contacting us will not produce a newsletter.

International transfers

This site is operated from the United States, and information submitted through it is processed there. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, submitting a form means your information is transferred to the United States.

How long it is kept

  • General inquiries that do not lead to work: kept as email correspondence for up to two years, then deleted.
  • Inquiries that become engagements: kept for the life of the engagement and for the period our professional and tax obligations require.
  • Expert-witness conflict-check records: kept longer, because a reliable conflicts history is what makes future conflict checks meaningful. These are retained as a limited record of parties, matter type, and date.

You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you
  • Provide a copy of it
  • Correct anything inaccurate
  • Delete it
  • Stop using it for a particular purpose
  • Withdraw a consent you previously gave

Email chris@crobinson-consulting.com. We will respond promptly, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. Form submissions are validated and rate-limited on the server. No system is perfect; if a breach affects your information, we will tell you.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses and professionals. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Contacting us is not an engagement

Submitting a form does not create a consulting engagement. For the expert-witness conflict-check form specifically, it does not create an attorney–client relationship, does not retain Robinson Consulting, and is not a commitment of availability in any matter.

If this notice changes materially, the change will be described here and the date above updated, rather than applied silently.
